On the news today there was a delightful report on Cicadas! The reporter (Rob Reynolds ) cleared the air about them (they're totally harmless to plant and animal) both verbally and through his treatment of them (literally letting them walk all over him!). The footage showing children fascinated by and playing with cicadas was wonderful! The coup de gras was the footage showing his son being delighted with the bugs, both as a toddler (17 years ago) and a teen (today) and his remark that they were the same age as he was. Terrific stuff!


On another front, I found a useful/amusing site with an article about ways to get your dog to swallow pills. Fuh-nee!
