Wow-- while I was whingin' and gimping around, I almost forgot: it's Rondo's Birthday! Rondo the spaz-dog and Honest Abe! Hopefully he'll forgive me for having -no- presents, cake or activity to celebrate. Maybe a couple of hours of frisbee and dogpark as soon as I can drive again...

And I have nothing ready for LJ, so I'll be lame and just re-post the big Rondo year one collage:

Are you kidding?!? Gimpy lance=BORING!!! No dogpark, no walk, no red dot, no jumping on right leg (which has suddenly become his favorite leg to lean on). If I even walk towards the back door, he's out the dogdoor in a shot and waiting by the car. For hours.

He did! Owner-error: I ignored the signs he gave that were plain as day (just before you met him). That's why I'm so down on myself-- like failed agility tests where the handler made the mistake, not the dog.

Fewer people and a tennis ball seem to be the secret to instant acception.
