I guess it's all relative: the stuff is back up but may be "unstable" for a while yet. Here's what she said:
"Speakeasy techincal support did not have any further information for us. There was an outage someplace upstream from them. At the very least it took out all of Los Angeles area Speakeasy customers. There is a good chance it affected some other providers too, but I only know for sure about Speakeasy. They were not the ones working on the problem since it was actually a problem with their provider. I have no idea what happened. It could be anything from a car crashing into the wrong thing, to some kind of massive computer problem somewhere."
