Talbain

Technotard that I am, I managed to do a photocollage of the talbain pics (thanks for the idea, Jen!). Not that I need self-puffery on top of all the general ego-puffery I've already gotten, I was very happy with how Talbain turned out. I was experimenting with using the Antron Fleece as a way to capture the feel of a cartoon character's clean lines, yet still be fuzzy. He was also one of my first big plunges into sculpted muscles (thanks to Fitness magazine).

*Rawr!*

[Your links aren't loading...?]

His tail is one of his best features! Spent an inordinate amount of time on that! Foofy!

Right click, do PROPERTIES, and copy and paste. I have NO idea why these aren't showing. The HTML is fine for them.

Weird.

And yeah, whatever fleecy-stuff you are using looks awesome. WAs that the same stuff you used on Red XIII?

Red was all National Fiber Technology material (stretchy). Talbain was a budget job (ie, trademarked character for me to use), so he's mostly Antron Fleece (some dyed blue) with airbrushing. The long blue stuff actually is NFT leftovers.

Where is a good place to get Antron Fleece?

Eh, you know you just do these costumes so you'll have an excuse to buy Men's Fitness and all those Muscle mags. It's just for 'research." Ayup!! (now I run away in FEAR)

The cashier at Barnes&Noble managed to keep a straight face: I think one night I bought "Fitness Magazine", "Renaissance Magazine", "Sporting News", "Nature", "Fangoria" and "Teddy Bear making-something".

And for whoever cares, fitness magazines are MUCH better than muscle/bodybuilding magazines for muscle ref. The latter features examples that are so freakishly over-built that you either can't distinguish individual muscles or they're weirdly disproportioned.
