Blizzcon update
Oct. 26th, 2005 07:24 pmNo Walk-Up BlizzCon Tickets
We have completely sold out of BlizzCon tickets, and due to capacity limitations, we will NOT be able to sell any tickets at the door. Please note that we've made one last BlizzCon FAQ update to reflect this.
So that makes my weekend plans a little more certain. I'm still amazed that -no- tickets have shown up on Stubhub.com, Ebay or Craig's list. Cary told me that the people who would drop that much for a ticket for this con are the absolutely die-hard, Otaku-equivalent fans of WoW, so they would find a way-- any way-- to make it to the con.
I am somewhat bemused by their generousity:
For those who would like to have attended but were unable to purchase a ticket, show reports will be posted here and on news and gaming sites around the Web, offering a glimpse of many of the activities taking place at BlizzCon.
So...for all their bitterly disappointed fans, they'll have tons of posts to show them just what they're missing... Hardcore cruel!

Date: 2005-10-27 01:49 am (UTC)At least Blizzard learned their lesson. When World of Warcraft released, they held a "release" party at one of the Fry's. I think they thought maybe a couple hundred people would show. No, it was more 1000+. Shawn and I waited in line there for about an hour or so, then finally decided we didn't care that much and went home to play WoW. :D
