what is it that you're angry about, that the animal is allowed to kill fawns or that people are complaining about it?

Oh-- the hypocracy of an organization (whose mission statement purports to present the wolf in an unbiased manner and to correct stereotypes) feeling all squeamish and horrified at their wolf doing what comes naturally. This essay reeks of the touchy-feely, "mystical wolf" garbage that too many people are perpetuating.

I love wolves/dogs/canids in general, along with their role in folklore (ravening beast, trickster, etc.). I'm just bothered by sentiments along the lines of, "The wolf is a wild creature..." followed by such lines as, "...ew, yuck! He's killing a cute bunny!" or "...No one should own a wolf...we do, but we're *experts* and look how cool we are!"
