Oakhurst Spring
Last week I was lucky enough to visit
iisaw and Carol up at their place in Oakhurst. I can't describe how lucky I am to have friends like this. I really needed to get out of L.A. for a few days, so I went up to drop some flowers off to a relative in the area and continued on to meet Eric and Carol and spend the rest of the weekend hiking off some stress.

Here is the complete set of photos
The hiking was sorely needed: in addition to being great folks, Carol and Eric are also wonderful cooks. In order to burn off so many kcals, I hiked the area a LOT. I literally walked the dogs off their feet! Apache managed to collect several hundred twisty-burrs. R0ndo walked his feet off (literally). Tay and Tas both came back limping (different hikes). Every time we returned we discovered that one of the dogs broke.
I was pretty ragged, too. Thank goodness for Advil. The three of us 2-leggers also got some work done on projects that ranged from actual physical work (horrors!) to some creative word-smithing. All said, me and the dogs (even my poofy city collies) had a good time.
