Bleagh
So. Those of you who couldn't make Confurence can consider themselves the lucky ones.
The parking lot-- usually filled when a conventions at the hotel-- was so empty that I got a close spot right next to the entrance to the con at noon on the "busy" Saturday at the con. So few people came out that locals were coordinating when they'd be there, so that there would be -someone- to talk to. Think, "Omega Man", with fewer explosions (but the same zombies). And just when one thought it couldn't get worse, the Chairman invites "The Man Show" and it's skanky spinoff to the con and gives them free reign to film anywhere. Check out harpyfeathers journal (entry on either the 26 or 27 of April) for a better summation. What a nice way to send out the last Confurence (but is right on par with this chairman's previous actions).
This is sure a long cry from the cons where costuming was so much fun!
