EF 2013 Sunday

Sunday is wind-down day: there are no panels, people are checking out...very quiet after the wildness of Saturday with the Pawpet Show, the big dance, Panels.

Sunday is also a great day to finally get a chance to slack out and talk with people. I love this low-key day. In previous years I've gone to the zoo, explored the city, visited Kaiserfest.

For the first time I joined the big expedition to the Schnitzel Temple! This is supposed to be the best schnitzel in town and a large group makes a trek there on Sunday for lunch. Schnitzel Temple serves a 1kg (2.2lbs) schnitzel that-- if you finishi it and the sides-- gets your picture on the wall. I was amused by the several dogs that were on the wall: did they eat an entire schnitzel to get this honor? Very amused.

The dead dog party was well-attended and, again, a fine time to sit back and catch up with friends.

Looks like you are eating a manta ray!

Nice photos! Don't forget the suits are not all mine, Karpour did as much if not more work on them than me. (in fact, I did almost no work on Tyler and Baseball, just some details)
And... Num8... ouch :P

If you're in the vicinity of Fremont sometime, you could do worse than try My Thai. ^_^ (That said, it's been a few years now since I visited, and restaurants can change in months) I always deeply appreciated the way that their heat scale was genuine: mild, medium, hot, and fire. If you finished a fire dish, they'd come around to put your photo on the wall. So, yep, there's a wall of very red-faced people.. and yes, I was (am?) amongst them. ^_^;

Good place. Regardless of the heat, their food was always richly spiced - I can't abide timid cooking. (Delicate is entirely different, of course - sushi's a pinnacle of making the most of top quality ingredients with minimal alteration or augmentation)

Mmm, I really ought to start making plans for a suit next year. Not sure what basic strategy, though - I'm comfortable with foam, given Red, but if I want to bring my SL self into RL, I'd probably have to go with something more like a vacuuformed mask, to keep the size of the head down. On the other paw, I probably don't want to shrink that down too far, either.. hey ho. It'll probably go through at least a couple major revisions before any public demonstration. ^_^;
