Your friend: yes, she is very shy, but she did a great job on her costume. She was very cute in the parade! She totally qualified to be at the "Advanced Head Panel" because she's already made her first suit, so she probably "got" what I was trying to say.

If she ever wants to talk about costuming or needs help with some aspect (construction or materials or whatever), tell her to feel free to ask, either directly through email or via you. She can (and probably should) cc you and/or her mom on those so I don't inadvertently suggest using some tool or material that she isn't ready for (heat guns, toxic glues, fiberglass, etc.). I didn't get a read on her actual age when I met her.
